Scary Strange facts about Outer Space

It maybe a Halloween night in space those days. Witches, ghost and ghouls captured in the most spine chilling photos to scare you to take your pants off. Well well well, the universe is full of secrets and magic huh?

Ghost Hand of God

May god be with you! But a green zombie like hand extending from depths of space to catch a bright red cloud of light, no way. Is it dinner time for th me zombie? NASA calls this the Hand of God and it is actually a pulsar wind nebula, produced from remains of a star that exploded in supernova.

Screaming Skull

Yikes! A red hot skull screaming while suffering a miserable fiery death. But no actual skulls harmed in making this photo. It's an X-ray image of a cluster of galaxies.

Space Ghosts

Bhooooo! ( cold breeze blows in the background). This is a ghost made of interstellar gas and dust called SH2-136. This nebula is about 1200 light-years away from earth. It's near constellation Cepheus.

Halloween Skull in Space

How did this skull wind up in space? A radar image of asteroid 2015 TB145, which NASA says is likely a dead comet, was captured using the Arecibo Observatory in Puerto Rico. The skull-shaped asteroid flew by Earth last Halloween (Oct. 31). Can it get anymore spooky?

Zombie Pac-Man Nebula

This nebula named NGC 246 lurks in the constellation Cetus about 1,600 light-years away from Earth. It is nicknamed the Zombie Pac-Man because it appears to be eating a bite of space

Witch Head Nebula

A witch appears to be laughing out into space. The infrared portrait shows the Witch Head nebula, named after its resemblance to the profile of a wicked witch.

Eye of Sauron is Watching You

This evil eye-shaped nebula, formally named Fomalhaut, strikes an eerie resemblance to the fearful Eye of Sauron from the Lord of the Rings series. In the books, Tolkien described the eye as being "rimmed with fire... watchful and intent, and the black slit of its pupil opened up on a pit, a window into nothing."

The Face on Mars

Do aliens really exist on Mars? Well NASA discovered this human looking face on the read planet. This photo is taken by NASA'S Viking 1 orbiter in 1976. However, NASA says the image is of a weird pile of rocks but does this makes it less spooky?

Ghost Head Nebula

Aaaaaah! The head of a ghost with a tow flaming eyes seeing us from the Magellanic cloud, about 170,000 light years away from earth is called the Ghost Head Nebula. The flaming eyes are formed due to hot blobs of hydrogen and oxygen.

Black Widow Nebula

This giant, red space spider is the biggest black widow we've ever seen! But don't worry — it won't bite. It's actually just a nebula, or a cloud of interstellar gas and dust.

Zombie Star Explodes Back to Life

This zombie star named Tycho was once a white dwarf, or the remnants of an exploding supernova. The dead star gobbled up too much mass from another nearby star and exploded again in what's called a Type Ia supernova.
